Maidenwood is more than just a wedding venue; it’s a 40-acre nature-inspired wedding venue, with our land held in a conservation trust in partnership with Landmark Conservancy out of Menominee, Wisconsin. This commitment means that our 40 acres of natural wild land, including a restored 13-acre native wildflower and tall grass prairie remains as wild and natural as possible, preserved for generations to come. In total, 36 of our 40 acres are restricted from any permanent structures which means it will continue to be one the best forest wedding venues for years to come. This dedication to nature extends to every corner of our property, including “The Pines” our most popular forest wedding site.
Wedding Planning Advice and/or Tip #1: A Journey to Intimacy
Make your wedding an memorable day by letting your guests explore our 40-acre nature-inspired wedding venue and not having your ceremony right next a building and then spending the next 6 hours inside that building. Many Maidenwood couples fall in love with “The Pines” for their ceremony, or even for breathtaking, intimate wedding photos. To reach this hidden gem, your guests will enjoy a short, scenic stroll (don’t worry, we have a golf cart for guests who need assistance getting there). They’ll wander our grass path packed with vibrant wildflower fields on each side of them, teeming with life, before stepping into the hushed, awe-inspiring embrace of our established evergreen forest. It’s a journey that builds anticipation, leading to a truly dreamy experience. Tucked away from any road or buildings, you and your guests will feel private and secluded, like you’re the only ones in the world so you can fully embrace the unforgettable moments of your wedding day.
Wedding Planning Advice and/or Tip #2: Nature’s Masterpiece
Simplify your decor and take advantage of our nature-inspired wedding venue. In “The Pines,” nature is truly the star of the show. We provide simple, thoughtful touches to enhance the experience: rows of rustic benches nestled among the trees, three arch options (Hexagon, Triangle, or Cross) that frames your love story, and a scattering of subtle twinkling lights overhead to add a touch of whimsy as dusk settles. But beyond these gentle additions, the magic comes from the environment itself.
Getting married in the heart of this natural sanctuary is pure enchantment. Picture this: you and your beloved, surrounded by the towering sentinels of the forest, with the gentle symphony of birdsong as your soundtrack. We’ve even had the privilege of witnessing squirrels scampering playfully and, on rare, magical occasions, deer and their fawns gracefully passing by as couples exchange their vows. These unexpected moments become cherished memories, forever woven into the fabric of your wedding day.
“The Pines” offers an unparalleled sense of peace and intimacy, a true escape from the ordinary. It’s a place where your love story can unfold amidst the raw, breathtaking beauty of the natural world, creating an unforgettable experience that is uniquely yours.
Are you dreaming of a wedding surrounded by the serene majesty of the forest? “The Pines” at Maidenwood awaits.
